WEST WINDSOR — Two women were charged Thursday with promoting prostitution at a West Windsor massage parlor.
Yuzhu Zhou, 51, and Ying Lin, 42, both of Flushing, N.Y., were arrested at 3:15 p.m. Thursday when the West Windsor Police Department, assisted by the Mercer County prosecutor’s office Special Investigations Unit and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, issued a search warrant at Asran House Massage Therapy.
The arrests are the result of a month-long investigation that was started in response to several citizen complaints regarding allegations of prostitution at the 55 Princeton-Hightstown Road establishment.
Ms. Zhou was charged with two counts of promoting prostitution and one count of maintaining a nuisance for running the operation at the site. Ms. Lin was charged with one count of promoting prostitution.
Both women were released on their own recognizance.
The arrests are the second such incident since March when the Princeton Township Police Department charged three women at the Sunny Garden Spa located near the intersection of Route 206 and Cherry Valley Road.
At the time, a confidential informant tipped off township police that acts of prostitution were being performed during massage sessions at the spa.
Two of the women, Kuei Hsiang Chang, 39, of Newark, and Chuehdan Namgyal, 35, of Jackson Heights, N.Y., were charged with prostitution. The owner of the spa, Yang Chen Paima, 40, of Jackson Heights, was charged with promoting prostitution.
