The Moms Club of Upper Freehold/Allentown will be holding monthly meetings the 1st Thursday of the month at 10:00am at the Allentown Presbyterian Church. The group will have low or no costs monthly calendar events for all age groups. The events will include day trips, playgroups, seasonal crafts, book club, craft club, cooking club, community service projects and MOMS Night outs.
Children are ALWAYS welcome. Mother’s of Upper Freehold and Allentown are welcome to come meet members and learn about this International, Non Profit Organization that will offer the Upper Freehold and Allentown stay at home and part time working mothers support and be able to share activities and experiences with moms and their children. A new Divorced and Separated recovery group will meet at Hopewell Presbyterian Church on Thursday evenings from 7:30-8:30/9:00. The purpose of the group is threefold 1) mutual support from other who are are recovering from a divorce or separation, 2) educational and personal growth, and 3) social. Every Thursday 5:30-6:00pm Explore basic yoga poses and techniques in a fun animal and nature theme. This play-based class aims to improve children's focus, balance and flexibility. Andrew began teaching Yoga asana over 10 years ago. His classes are a blend of classical Hatha with strong influences from Vinyasa Krama and Ashtanga. Andrew’s background as an acupuncturist and herbalist, as well as a second degree black belt martial artist, give him a unique view of the standard practice of Yoga. He enjoys studying Ayurvedic medicine and classical Indian texts such as the Charaka Samhita and Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. A strong foundation, movement with breath and meditation are emphasized in Andrew's classes. The sequence of postures is structured so that one prepares the body to get into the next, allowing a deep practice. The physical practice is strong, but students of all ages and abilities are welcome.

Qi Gong (pronounced Chee-Gong) is a Chinese meditative practice which uses slow graceful movements and controlled breathing techniques to promote the circulation of chi, or life force energy, within the body thus enhancing overall health. Considered to be the precursor to the better-known Tai Chi, Qi Gong is sometimes called "standing tai chi" as it is much slower and focuses more on the chi, or energy, aspect. It is energizing, grounding and centering, and supports the unity of body, mind and spirit. Classes last one hour; wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
Wonder Walk for Families: Autumn in the Woods
