" Animal Aliies is a wonderful organization. Thank you to Penny and her group for all their hard work. They never stop, and never give up on any dog.
They saved a seven year old dog who had been in and out of shelters. We were blessed to adopt Lucky via Animal ALiies, and he was one of the greatest dogs ever.
Forever Grateful. "

" Mr. Sandahl (as I recall) defended the law requiring that safety analysis of ALL bridges were to be kept as controlled documents, not that this PARTICULAR bridge and this PARTICULAR report were security issues. He defended the default action by the county to not release the report, that action being consistent with national security policy for ALL such reports on ALL bridges. Obviously the law allows for exceptions, and you were granted access to the report. In my opinion, everything worked as it should.

It's a shame your "Save The Victory Trail" website couldn't host the report files itself - the website you choose to use is commonly blocked by web filters, since it is frequented by users who trade in illegal file trading "www.fileden.com" - others (like yourself) use it for perfectly fine uses, but that involvement with "file traders" prevents me from accessing the report from work, I'll have to wait...

If the authors of the report are the Keller & Kirkpatrick I found on the web (http://www.kellkirk.com/), they are an ENGINEERING firm, likely tasked with reporting on the safety of the bridge, not the "historic significance" or "impact to the community" aspects of the bridge under examination (again, I haven't seen the report yet) - there are planning firms that specialize in traffic plans, safety, and historical issues - an engineering firm should not be expected to provide any concievable service - they should be expect4ed to comment on the engineering of the bridge itself.

The report is only incomplete if they failed to do all the things asked of them, not all the things you thought of after you read the final report. There must have been an RFP for the study, OPRA that, see what was asked of them, then you will know if they did or did not complete work they were asked to do.

"Manufactured Issue"? I don't know, I've lived here for over thirty years, and I can tell you that the level of interest in Washington's Crossing of the Delaware has rarely, in the last 30 years, exceeded the annual pictures of the reenactment of the crossing held each year in the HVN. That this has become a passion that has ignighted the locals and brought neighbors to (nearly) blows leads me to believe that either we have a tremendous number of closet George Washington fanatics in the Township or this is a contrived issue to effect the change (or lack thereof) certain residents want.

If this truely is an historic region, maybe the best thing would be for the state to come in, seize all the land, pay the owners the newly depressed fair-market value for their properties, and simply expand the state park to include the entire region from the crossing site down to the site of the Old Barracks in Trenton. Honestly, if the creek bed is important, how can you not preserve the entire route?

I'm sure the current homeowners would be happy to relocate, to allow this historic region the chance to be more fully enjoyed by all... It's the least they could do. "

YOUR VIEWS: Senate health bill offers serious solutions

Ed wrote on Nov 21, 2009 10:05 PM:

" I second the call for tort reform and interstate insurance competition. Healthcare is yet another example of Big Government types messing something up, and then using the mess as a pretext for growing the government further. "

No to Health Bill wrote on Nov 20, 2009 10:52 PM:

" If this bill should passed I hope it has mandatory drug testing for those who think this will really work. Wake up this is a joke this has nothing to do with healthcare. If this was the greatest thing since sliced bread then why are the politicians not opting to join? "
