“Get Your Health On” Expo, a free health event featuring health screenings, fitness demos, games, information and more, will be featured at the Woodbridge Center on Jan. 23, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is sponsored by Health Republic Insurance of New Jersey.
Participants will have the opportunity to be screened for diabetes, cholesterol and high blood pressure by healthcare professionals from JFK Medical Center, Edison. The Robert Wood Johnson Fitness and Wellness Center will offer demonstrations on yoga and Pilates. Fitness activities for kids are planned, including functional movement screening conducted by the personal training staff. Everyone can have their Body Mass Index (BMI) checked.
Many healthcare professionals will be on hand to distribute information and answer questions, including those from the JFK Breast and Women’s Health Center, Rehabilitation Department, Family Practice, Neuro Science Sleep Apnea and Stroke Center and Urgent Care Center.
Representatives from Health Republic Insurance of New Jersey will be at the event to answer any questions about health insurance, as the enrollment period for purchasing health insurance ends Jan. 31.
The event will take place in the Sears Wing, Lower Level. Raffles, giveaways, and other surprises are in store for all who attend.
