HILLSBOROUGH/MANVILLE: Kids’ fee throw shooting competition is Jan. 31 

The 2016 Millstone Valley Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition will be held Sunday, Jan. 31, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the gym of Auten Road Intermediate School in Hillsborough.
All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The shootout is sponsored annually with winners progressing through local, district and state level competition. All boys and girls 9 to 14 years old are eligible to participate in respective age divisions. Age eligibility is determined by the age of the contestant as of Jan. 1, 2016.
Last year, nearly 120,000 sharpshooters participated in 3,600 competitions nationally. All contestants on the local level are recognized for participation. Participants will be required written parental consent.
The Knights of Columbus is an Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization with more than 1.8 million members in more than 15,000 local councils.
