HILLSBOROUGH: Township police report six arrests for marijuana charges

Hillsborough police reported six instances of marijuana and related charges that had been brought since the first week in November.
Amber Highsmith, 23, of Somerset was charged with possession of marijuana after it was allegedly found Dec. 28 in the vehicle she driving. She was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and speeding.
Megan Molissio, 20, of Princeton, was charged with possession of marijuana after it was allegedly found on her when her vehicle was stopped by police on Route 206 on Dec. 16. She was also charged with possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, careless driving, possession of alcohol while being underage and speeding.
Kevin Araya, 21, of Hillsborough was charged with possession of marijuana after it was allegedly found in the vehicle he was driving Dec. 10. He was also charged with speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.
Joseph Barbuto, 21, of Hillsborough was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia Nov. 27 after it was allegedly found in the vehicle in which he was a passenger, police said.
Melissa Jones, 24, of Belle Mead was charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle after the marijuana was allegedly found in the vehicle she was driving Nov. 29.
Gabriel Gonzalez, 20, of Hillsborough was charged Nov. 8 for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after they were allegedly found in the vehicle he was driving.
In all cases, the accused was released pending a court appearance.
