- A vandal spray-painted red, random symbols on a fence, a utility box, a street lamp and a section of a wall in the Canal Pointe development, off Canal Point Boulevard. The vandalism was reported at 11:58 a.m. Dec. 15.
- A 58-year-old township resident reported that she lost her driver’s license, Visa bank card and health insurance cards somewhere between her home and her sister’s home in Bath, Pennsylvania. The incident was reported at 9:31 p.m. Dec. 15.
- A 60-year-old township resident told police that someone created three fraudulent checks and forged her signature for deposit sometime between Dec. 12 and Dec. 15. Each of the checks was in the approximate amount of $1,800. The incident was reported at 9:53 a.m. Dec. 18.
- A shoplifter escaped with two bottles of wine from Trader Joe’s grocery store on Route 1 on Dec. 22. A customer told store personnel that the man, described as a black male, about 40 years old and wearing a khaki jacket, concealed the wine inside of his jacket pocket and left the store. The incident was reported at 11:29 a.m. Dec. 23.
- A 44-year-old Skillman man was scammed out of his Apple iPhone 6S by a man who switched his defective phone for the victim’s phone, which was in working order, on Dec. 16. The victim had advertised his new Apple iPhone 6S for sale on Craigslist and met with a prospective buyer at the Princeton Junction Train Station. The victim let the prospective buyer examine the cell phone, who claimed he had lost one of two SIM cards he had arrived with. The buyer pretended to search inside the waiting room and then outside on the platform area. The victim lost contact with the buyer, and when he returned home, he noticed that the IMEI number on the “new” iPhone did not match its box. The phone appeared to be defective.
- Danny Bivins Jr., 27, of Brick, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana after the car in which he was riding was stopped by police for motor vehicle violations on Princeton-Hightstown Road at 11:20 p.m. Dec. 23.
- A 45-year-old township resident reported that he received several credit cards in the mail from different credit card companies on Dec. 24, but he had not requested the credit cards. When he checked his Equifax credit report, he found that several credit card inquiries had been made on Dec. 16. He had not received credit cards from those companies.
