Emily Bennett, daughter of Robert and Carol Bennett of Sayreville, became engaged to Thomas Meades, son of Dolores and the late Lawrence Meades of Old Bridge.
Ms. Bennett, a graduate of Sayreville High School, is employed as a waitress at Colonial Coffee Shop, Fords.

Mr. Meades, a graduate of Michael J. Petrides High School, Staten Island, is employed as a corrections officer at the Department of Corrections, Trenton.
A wedding is planned for May 26, 2017.
