Scholar in Residence weekend starts Friday, Jan. 29. Our scholar is Dr. Jonathan Milgram, assistant professor of Talmud and Rabbinics at the Jewish Theological Seminary. He will speak at Friday services and at a Lunch and Learn Saturday and Saturday evenings. 
How is your singing voice? Join the Karaoke Party Sunday, Jan. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 per person or $18 for a family. 
The World Wide Wrap is Sunday, Feb. 7, at 9 a.m. Learn the significance and method of wearing a Tefillin. 
What are the effects of the Yom Kippur war? Itzhak Brook will discuss the historical background of the 1973 war and its effects on Israeli society. Dr. Brook was a battalion physician in the Sinai during the war. The presentation by the Israel Affairs Committee is on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. 
“Where is God When We Need God: The Holocaust and Other Horrors,” is the subject of Rabbi Kornsgold’s address to the Beth El Seniors on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. 
The second annual Beth El Coffeehouse is set for Saturday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $20 person person for an evening of live music, desserts, tea, and of course, coffee. 
Here’s your chance to get a genuine Coach bag. It’s called “Coach Bag Bingo” and is on Sunday, Feb. 7, from 1 to 4 p.m. The $35 admission lets participants start playing 35 games. Snacks and drinks are included. 
