LONG BRANCH — Turning Point Restaurants will again partner with the Kortney Rose Foundation (KRF) and host the seventh annual “Great Food for a Great Cause” fundraiser from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28 at each of the restaurant’s 11 locations.

Restaurant guests who donate a minimum of $25 to KRF on either date will receive a gift card good for two entrées at a future visit to Turning Point Restaurants.

Last year’s event generated more than $51,000 for KRF, which raises funds for pediatric brain tumor research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

“Year after year our staff and patrons look forward to this fundraiser and their effort and enthusiasm is reflected in the tremendous generosity that is shown at this popular event,” said Kirk Ruoff in a press release. He and his wife, Pam, are owners of Turning Point, which is one of KRF’s largest corporate sponsors.

“Turning Point and the Ruoffs have been a staple in our efforts to raise money for kids with brain tumors — the number one cancer cause of death in children 20 and under,” said Kristen Gillette, KRF founder and president, in the press release. “We are overwhelmed with gratitude from the growing community support for our mission to find better treatments and cures for the more than 3,500 children diagnosed annually with brain tumors.”

KRF was founded by Kristen and Rich Gillette in memory of their daughter Kortney, who died from a brain tumor in 2006. The foundation reached a milestone in 2015 when after nine years, it surpassed $1 million in donations to CHOP.

KRF volunteers will be at each restaurant to answer any questions about the foundation and its mission. Local Turning Point locations include Brick, Holmdel, Little Silver, Long Branch, Manalapan, Princeton and Sea Girt. For more information, visit www.thekortneyrosefoundation.org.
