George Lee,87 After a long, active life and a short illness, George Lee passed away Dec.16, 2015, at Lourdes Specialty Hospital in Willingboro, comforted by his wife Eveline and children Janet and Rick. He was 87. George was a kind and generous family man, a conscientious executive, and an honorable, humble gentleman with deep values. He was always ready and willing to help others – a blessing to all he met or touched in some way. He was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree from McGill University, followed by a Master’s of Science degree from MIT. His academic specialty was chemical engineering. While in Boston, he met his beloved wife, Eveline, and was married there in the Old South Church 62 years ago. He was devoted to his family, including their three children: the late Karen Lee, Janet Lee (Rob Wood) of Kingston ON, and Rick Lee (Margaret Sikowitz) and grandchildren Julia and Benjamin of Brooklyn, NY. George was a loyal, long-time executive with Johnson & Johnson, serving in Canada, overseas and Skillman as Director of Research and Development. Over the past 10 years of his retirement, he and Evie have enjoyed living at Stonebridge at Montgomery, where he indulged his passion for plants and flowers and relished his role as the “greenhouse consultant”. He also continued his role as an active volunteer, supporter and member of Princeton United Methodist Church. In addition to his immediate family, George is survived by his siblings and their families in Vancouver and San Francisco. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the many medical specialists and staff, clergy, and close friends who eased George’s final journey in countless ways with their loving support, prayers and personal care. A celebration of George’s life will be held at 11:00am on Feb. 6th at Princeton United Methodist Church, 7 Vandeventer Ave, with an informal reception to follow. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Princeton United Methodist Church for the Appalachia Service Project. Arrangements are under the direction of The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton.
