Art lecture, coloring offered to seniors during February

The following events are open to South Brunswick seniors age 55 and older at the Office on Aging, in the South Brunswick Senior Center, Route 522, Monmouth Junction.

Movie Days include “The Martian” on Feb. 4, a Bollywood film on Feb. 9 and “Time Out of Mind” on Feb. 23, all at 12:30 p.m.

Peter Paul Rubens will be the featured artist 12:30 p.m. Feb. 19 as part of the monthly art lecture.

Maddie Brooks, manager of financial services, and Asali Guions, financial professional, from The Prudential Insurance Company of America, will present “What is Chronic Care?” at 12:15 p.m. Feb. 18.

“Loving and Caring for a Spouse with Alzheimer’s Disease “ will be held at 12:15 p.m. Feb. 25 by Galina Markovich, dementia specialist, nurse practitioner and director for Millennium Memory Care.

Coloring for Adults is set for 12:15 p.m. on Feb. 16. The practice generates wellness and quietness, and stimulates brain areas related to motor skills, the senses and creativity.

“Optimize Your Brain Fitness” will be held at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 26. The lecture is a video of Professor Richard Restak of the George Washington University of Medicine and Health Sciences.
