Resident charged after home burglary in South River

SOUTH RIVER — Police responded to a residence on Burton Avenue for a reported residential burglary around 9 p.m. on Jan. 12.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that entry was made into the residence and various electronics were taken, according to a statement prepared by police.

South River detectives were led to a residence on Seppi Avenue. A search of the home allegedly turned up property stolen from the Burton Avenue home, along with a loaded 32-caliber revolver.

As a result, Allen Bradley, 37, was charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, forgery and certain persons not to possess a firearm. He was transported to the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in lieu of $60,000 bail.

Additionally, with assistance from the East Brunswick and Sayreville Police Departments, large amounts of items stolen from reported burglaries in their jurisdictions were recovered and returned to the rightful owners, police said.
