Spotswood DECA students move onto state conference

SPOTSWOOD — Of the 75 competitors Spotswood High School’s DECA chapter entered into the NJ DECA Central regional competition, 28 qualified to advance to the next level.

Kean University served as the host to the 800 DECA members from central Jersey on Jan. 7, who competed in numerous academic marketing, finance, management and hospitality career areas.

The Spotswood students will now compete at the DECA State Leadership Conference in Cherry Hill Feb. 24-26.

DECA competitors placing in the Top 3 of their career categories at the state level will advance to the DECA International Career Development Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, later this year.
