Jean Findlay Gorman, 91 Jean Findlay Gorman, 91, of Princeton, NJ and East Falmouth, MA died on January 23rd at Stonebridge Adult Community, Rocky Hill, NJ. Born in Washington DC, Mrs. Gorman was the daughter of Martha B. and Colonel Harris M. Findlay. She was the wife of Frank T. Gorman, Jr who predeceased her in 1979 and the companion of the late Shelton Pitney. A graduate of Hollins College, Mrs. Gorman was active in the Hollins Club of Princeton serving as President for 25 years and Treasurer, as well as class reporter, class president and reunion chairman of the Hollins class of 1945. Mrs. Gorman was a member of the Princeton Club of New York, the Nassau Club, the Present Day Club, the Women’s College Club, the Garden Club, all of Princeton and an honorary member of the Princeton University Class of 1941. In addition, she served as a Girl Scout Leader for more than 25 years. Mrs. Gorman was a longtime member of Trinity Church, serving on the Altar Guild, and as a Lay Reader. She was also a volunteer at Merwick for many years. Surviving her are her daughters Martha G. Nielsen of Trenton, NJ, Frances T. Gorman of Plainsboro, NJ, Jean G. Wilson of Raleigh, NC and Elizabeth G. Moyer of Milford MA and granddaughters Jean Moses, Colleen Gorman, Brandy Cafarella and Samantha Moyer, as well as 7 great grandchildren. A granddaughter, Margaret Moses, and her brother Harris M. Findlay, Jr. preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am at Trinity Church on Monday, February 1, 2016. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery in Princeton. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, Princeton, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
