Monroe Township Public Schools will hold kindergarten registration beginning Feb. 23 for children who will be 5 years old by Oct. 31. Parents should contact their area school to obtain a registration packet; forms must be completed and brought to registration at the designated school.
The following documents are necessary to register: the child’s original birth certificate; current physical form and immunization record, signed and dated by the doctor; four proof-of-residency forms including a deed, tax bill, HUD-1 statement or lease, and three current utility bills (individuals who reside with another family will need the resident family to provide the documentation and accompany them to registration), or a sales contract to purchase a home in Monroe with a closing date on or before Nov. 1, 2016; an IEP or 504, if the child has one; and custody papers, proof of legal guardianship, or foster-parent or adoption papers, if applicable.
Kindergarten registration for Oak Tree Elementary area residents will take place Feb. 23 and 24 at Oak Tree Elementary School, 226 Applegarth Road. Individuals whose last names begin with the letters A-G will register 9:15-11:30 a.m. Feb. 23; last names H-M, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day. Those whose last names begin with the letters N-R will enroll 9:15-11:30 a.m. Feb. 24; letters S-Z, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day. Call 609-655-7642 to request the registration packet.
Registration for Barclay Brook area residents will be held Feb. 29 and March 1 at Barclay Brook School, 358 Buckelew Ave. Individuals whose last names begin with the letters AG will register 9:15-11:30 a.m. Feb. 29; last names H-M, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day. Those whose last names begin with the letters N-R will enroll 9:15-11:30 a.m. March 1; letters S-Z, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day. Call 732-521-1000 to request a registration packet.
Signups for Mill Lake area residents will take place March 2 and 3 at Mill Lake School, 115 Monmouth Road. Individuals whose last names begin with the letters A-G will register 9-11:30 a.m. March 2; last names H-M, 1-2:45 p.m. on the same day.
