Genealogy Club to discuss Jewish migration patterns on Feb. 11

The next meeting of the Genealogy Club of Central Jersey (GCCJ) will take place at 7 p.m., Feb. 11, at Congregation Ahavas Achim, 216 S 1st Ave., Highland Park.

Speaker Marshall Lerner will provide a brief overview of Jewish migration patterns within Europe since the middle ages, the unique role of Jews as servants of the crown and the changing political and societal undercurrents in 18th and 19th century Europe that contributed to Jewish emigration from Eastern Europe.

The meeting, which is sponsored by the Jewish Historical Society of Central Jersey, is open to the public.
