The Old Bridge Lightning 9U Travel Baseball Team will sponsor its fundraising Texas Hold ’Em Poker Tournament March 4 at the Cheesequake Volunteer Fire Company, 113 Route 34, Matawan. Doors will open and sign in will take place at 7 p.m. The event will begin at 7:45 p.m.
Donation for players is $120 and includes 5,000 chips, a dinner buffet and wine, beer and soda. All players who register by Feb. 4 will receive 1,000 extra chips. Donation is $40 for individuals who do not wish to play; price includes dinner buffet and wine, beer and soda.
Prizes will be awarded to the top five players at the final table. First place will be $1,000. The prize pool will be $2,500. Prizes/payouts, which will be in the form of bank gift cards, are based on 50 players and will be adjusted proportionately in the event there are vacant seats.
