‘Little Mermaid’ auditions slated in Red Bank

Phoenix Productions will hold open auditions Feb. 18, 20 and 22 for its spring production of “The Little Mermaid” at 59 Chestnut St., Red Bank. All roles for adults are open.

The musical, which will be performed at the Count Basie Theatre in April and May, will be directed by Keith Gissubel, with musical direction by Bob Sammond and choreography by Rachel Wasser. Songs will include “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.”

Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of their best song in a contemporary, Broadway style. There will be a dance audition, so be prepared with appropriate clothing and tap shoes. Auditions will be held 7-9 p.m. Feb. 18 and 22 and 3-6 p.m. Feb. 20. There is no need to schedule an appointment.
