HILLSBOROUGH: Boy Scout Troop 186 solicits 252 ‘Toys for Tots’

Boy Scout Troop 186 of Hillsborough received the highest award from the Marines “Toys for Tots“ program for its contributions to the annual toy drive.
Troop 186 Community Service Chair Linda Cummings spearheaded the collection drive, which involved people in Hillsborough and surrounding communities. Troop Scouts staffed a toy collection outside of the Manville Walmart in early December. Other contributions came from SHI International, Just Subs, Girl Scout Troop 60126, Chrono CrossFit Gym and Cub Scout Pack 186 (Hillsborough).
The collection effort yielded 252 toys and $1,253 for the Toys for Tots program. Many children enjoyed brighter holidays as a result of these donations.
