Rocking chair marathon will benefit veterans, food bank

The 31st annual Rock-a-Thon 24-hour rocking chair marathon is scheduled for Feb. 27-28 at North Brunswick Township High School, 98 Raider Road, North Brunswick. Visitors are welcome 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Feb. 27 and 8-11 a.m. Feb. 28.

The event raises money for charities by having students get pledges and then rock the day and night away. This year, funds will be donated to The Ronald McDonald House of New Brunswick, Operation Jersey Cares and the North Brunswick Food Bank.

Donation checks can be made out to NBTHS Rock-a-Thon and mailed to the high school, attention Joel Chesler.

Over the course of the years, this event has raised more than $220,000 for charities.
