The New Jersey chapter of the Sierra Club and Environment New Jersey have filed a lawsuit against the Pinelands Commission in an attempt to stop the construction of the South Jersey Gas pipeline project in Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May counties. The two organizations have not filed a lawsuit in the matter of the Southern Reliability Link pipeline that has been proposed by New Jersey Natural Gas through portions of Burlington, Monmouth and Ocean counties, including areas in Upper Freehold Township, Plumsted Township and Jackson.
