HILLSBOROUGH: College students make the grades for dean’s lists

Cadet Michael Subach of Hillsborough earned academic honors on the fall semester dean’s list at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. He is a 2012 Hillsborough High School graduate.
Recognition is given to cadets registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the semester’s work.

Brittany DeFilippo of Hillsborough has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Montclair State University. Brittany is in the Class of 2017 and is an animation and illustration major.
Students must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade-point average of 3.50.

Hillsborough’s Taryn Grober, a freshman at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, made the honor roll for the fall semester. A student must achieve at least a 3.5 grade-point average. Taryn has also begun her first season on the school’s softball team.

Spencer Reynolds of Hillsborough achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point average and was named to the president’s list at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, for the first semester.
Spencer is earning a bachelor of science majoring in finance, business economics and China business program.

Alex Malecki of Hillsborough was among more than 1,550 students named to the University of Scranton (Pa.) fall semester dean’s list for academic excellence. A student must have a grade-point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours.
Alex, a Hillsborough High School graduate, is a junior counseling and human services major.

Several Hillsborough students at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, R.I., were among the 4,986 undergraduates on the dean’s list for the fall semester.
The students are Samantha Czechowicz, Jamie Zona, Nora Elizabeth Nuzzolo, Alec M. Johnson, Caitlin Michelle Hammond, Giana Marucci, Patrick Crossan, Kalyn E. Haver, Analee Santaromita, Matthew Yeager and Shannon M. Oryniak.
To make the list, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality-point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.

Two Hillsborough students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of New Haven in Orange, Conn.
Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA. From Hillsborough are Adam Raczkowski, a music industry major, and Nicole Trimpert, studying psychology

Four Hillsborough students made the fall dean’s list for academic achievement at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, Pa. The four are Sarah Fenwick, Michelle Wludyka, Taylor Waldman and Efharis Vaporakis.

Andrew Kincaid, of Hillsborough, a member of the class of 2016, earned the dean’s list for the fall semester at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. Andrew is a mathematics major and chemistry minor from Hillsborough. He is a graduate of Hillsborough High School.
Students must earn a minimum of a 3.5 grade-point average (4.0-scale).

Evan Kaplan of Hillsborough earned the faculty honors distinction for the fall semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology, located in Atlanta. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have a 4.0 academic average for the semester.

Alyssa Giarrusso of Hillsborough has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. Students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.
