Relay for Life returns to Howell

HOWELL – The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Howell kickoff celebration acts as a way to get the community engaged for the upcoming event and to encourage new people to join the cause.

This year’s program will be led by Amanda Barrett, the community manager, as well as the three tri-leads of the Relay for Life Committee: Rachel Ottman, Mollie Wurmbrand and Kiana Stockwell, according to a press release.

The kickoff event will take place at Howell High School, Squankum-Yellowbrook Road, Howell, on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. The speakers will explain the importance of “Painting Your World Purple,” promote cancer awareness through interactive activities and videos, and have committee members manage expo tables for the different elements of the event.

Everyone who is interested in learning more about the impact of the Relay for Life of Howell event is invited to attend the meeting. For more information, visit www.RelayForLife.org/HowellNJ or contact amanda.barrett@cancer.org
