Winter is the perfect time to learn a new skill or try something fun. The Long Branch Free Public Library will hold an instructional class on playing backgammon from 1-3 p.m. March 7 at the main library’s Community Meeting Room at 328 Broadway.

Backgammon is one of the oldest board games known. Winning requires an equal amount of skill and luck as two players race around the board at the roll of the dice.

Come alone or with a partner and learn by playing. Walk-ins are welcome. For more information, call the library at 732-222-3900 or visit www.longbranchlib.org.
