COLTS NECK – Colts Neck High School will present “Beauty and the Beast” as its spring musical.
Performances will be held on Feb. 26, March 4 and March 5 at 7 p.m. A matinee will be held on Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults. Advance ticket orders can be placed at https://cnhsnj.booktix.com
Based on the Academy Award-winning Disney animated feature, “Beauty and the Beast” transports audiences into the heart of provincial life and the story of a special girl named Belle, according to a press release.
When her father Maurice becomes lost in the woods on the way to the fair, he seeks shelter in an old castle, but is captured by the ferocious master. To save her father’s life, Belle gives up her freedom and takes his place as captive. Belle’s taming of the Beast and his ultimate transformation back into a handsome prince enthralled Broadway audiences for more than 13 years, according to the press release.
