LAWRENCE — A 57-year-old Trenton woman suffered serious injuries and died after the car she was driving left the road and struck a tree on Princeton Pike shortly after 11 p.m. Feb. 19, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.
A passing motorist called police to report a car that had gone off the road on Princeton Pike, near Fackler Road, police said. When police arrived, they found Janice Mason, 57, of Trenton in the car. She had suffered serious injuries.
First responders performed first aid to save Ms. Mason, but she died a short time later.
It is believed that Ms. Mason was driving south on Princeton Pike when her car crossed the northbound lane and struck a tree, police said. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected in the accident.
