Genealogy Society to meet March 13

EATONTOWN — The Monmouth County Genealogy Society will meet 1:30 p.m. March 13 at the Community Center, 72 Broad St.

Educator and historian Henry McNally will present “Emigrants and Exiles: The Ireland They Left Behind.” He will discuss Irish and Scots-Irish emigrants and the forces that pushed them toward distant shores and the cultural and historical realities that influenced their role in the New World.

McNally teaches in the Irish Studies program at Brookdale Community College and at the Osher Lifelong Institute of Rutgers University.

All are invited to attend this free presentation.
