EAST WINDSOR: School district to offer integrated preschool program

The East Windsor Regional School District is offering an integrated preschool program beginning Sept. 6, 2016 that will serve 3- and 4-year old-children.
To qualify, a child must be 3 years old but not 5 years old by Oct. 1, 2016 and a resident within the East Windsor Regional School District. Morning and afternoon will be held five days per week and each session will be 2 ½ hours (8:50 to 11:25 a.m. or 12:50 to 3:25 p.m.).
The program follows the East Windsor calendar, and all holidays, early dismissal days, etc. Preschool students with disabilities and non-disabled preschoolers come together in an inclusive classroom where language, academic and social skills will be developed.
Enrollment is open to non-disabled preschool students who will be selected via a lottery process. Tuition for the program will be $300 per month for Sept. 6, 2016 through June 20, 2017. Parents may choose to make one payment for the entire cost or pay the tuition as per a specified fee schedule. Transportation will be available, which is included in the cost of tuition.
The lottery drawing will be held Monday, April 25, 2016, at the Grace N. Rogers School Auditorium at 4:15 p.m. You do not need to be present for the lottery to be selected. Written notification regarding your status will be mailed after April 25, 2016.
Lottery applications and contracts for the program are available at East Windsor Regional Schools Central Registration Office, 384 Stockton Street, Hightstown, between March 1and April 15, 2016, or available on the website www.EastWindsorRegionalSchools.com.
Lottery applications must be returned to the Central Registration Building no later than 3 p.m. Friday, April 15. An original birth certificate with a raised seal or passport; a current lease, deed, tax bill or mortgage statement and a current utility bill or official piece of mail is required to participate in the lottery and must be presented when the lottery application and contract is submitted.
