The band features acoustic guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Nina performing with a bass guitarist and, occasionally, one or two percussionists. She and her band offer an eclectic mix of folk, country and rock.

Maybelle Carter was a member of the original Carter Family, a band which was formed in 1927 and became one of the first commercial rural country-music groups. Known as “Mother Maybelle,” she played autoharp, banjo and guitar, the instrument on which she created an innovative “scratch” style of playing.
