Students will present ‘Into the Woods’ musical 
Sat.-Sun., March 12-13 — Hillsborough High School Theatre will perform Stephen Sondheim’s musical, “Into The Woods,” borne from classic fairy tales, on March 12 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, March 13, at 1 p.m. at the high school at 466 Raider Blvd. The theater program will hold an “Into The Woods Tea Time” on Saturday, March 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. where you can meet the characters up close and personal. Activities and snacks for the tea time guests will be provided. Performance tickets are priced at $10 each and Tea Time tickets at $8. Republicans celebrate 100 days in local office 
Fri., March 11 — The township Republican organization will hold a beef steak dinner to celebrate 100 days in office for this year’s all-Republican Township Committee from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Landing Restaurant at 311 Amwell Road. Steak, garden tossed salad, French fries, pasta, olive plate, beer, wine and soda (mixed drinks cash bar). Entertainment by strolling magician Will Fern. $75 per person. Sponsors sought, too.

Band parents collect used clothing, bedding 
Sat., March 12 — Hillsborough Band Parents Association, which supports the high school band and color guard programs, will collect used clothing and other items from 10 a.m. to noon at front entrance to high school, 466 Raider Blvd. Usable and wearable clothing for all ages and seasons should be in well-tied plastic bags. Bag shoes separately.
Also accepted will be pocketbooks, belts, hats, gloves, ties, backpacks, briefcases, baby utensils, blankets and bedding, and hard and soft toys. 
Easter Bunny to appear at firehouse breakfast 
Sat., March 12 — The Easter Bunny will attend the pancake breakfast sponsored by the Volunteer Fire Co. No. 3’s auxiliary at the firehouse at 324 Woods Road. Seatings at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Bring a camera to take a photograph.

Altar Rosary Society will sell Easter foods 
March 19 and 20 — Sponsored by the Christ the Redeemer Altar Rosary Society sponsors bake sale and butter lamb sale on Saturday and Sunday beginning with the 4:30 p.m. Mass at Christ the King Church and the 6 p.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Church, both in Manville. Call 908-725-0072 for information.
Therapy group that uses horses benefits from event 
Sat., March 19 — Veterans, at-risk teens and young children suffering bereavement all find solace with a herd of horses used by the Hillsborough nonprofit Spring Reins of Life in Hillsborough.
The Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions will benefit from a Comedy & Dessert night from 7-10 p.m. at the Flemington Elks Lodge, Route 31. Featured stand-up comic is Mark Riccadonna. Cash bar, light fare snacks, desserts. Tickets are $35 with the option to add additional donation. 
Learn networking tips at job seekers program 
Thurs., March 24 — Elise Prezant, career counselor at Jewish Family Service, will lead a free program on “The Basics of Networking” for the Job Seekers Support Group from 10 a.m. to noon at the Family Success Center, 87 Park Ave., Flemington.
This group is open to the entire community. Funding is provided by a grant from the United Way of Hunterdon County. Registration is required; contact Ms. Prezant at 908-725-7799, ext.108, or eprezant@JewishFamilySvc.org. 
Garden club will hear how to grow and use lavender 
Thurs., March 24 — Marie Voorhees from Hidden Spring Lavender Farm in Skillman will talk to the Neshanic Garden Club’s monthly meeting about growing lavender and its therapeutic uses. The meeting begins at 9:45 a.m. at the Station House on Olive Street, Neshanic Station. In the spring tours of the lavender farm are offered at $10 per person. There is also a gift shop.

Rotary Club schedules its 8th annual egg hunt 
Sat., March 26 — Free 8th annual Rotary Club egg hunt at The Landing restaurant, Amwell Road. Hunting in three age groups begins at 10 a.m. sharp for ages 8 and younger. Bring your own baskets. All eggs filled with a treat. Bring camera for photos with bunny. Hot dogs and hot chocolate, compliments of the Landing, after the hunt. Call 732-522-6178. 
Church’s hunt features more than 5,000 eggs 
Sat., March 26 — A free Easter egg hunt with more than 5,000 eggs will be held from 9:45 a.m.-noon at Montgomery Evangelical Free Church, 246 Belle Mead-Griggstown Road, Belle Mead. Children ages 12 months to 9 years may hunt, as well as special needs children. Afterwards, there will be games, face painting, crafts, a cookie decorating station, and a chance to hear about the true meaning of Easter. For info, check the website at www.mefc.org. 
Project Graduation seeks advertisers for program 
Sat., April 2 — Hillsborough High School Project Graduation looking for advertisers and sponsors for its annual basket auction and fashion show, which will be held in the Hillsborough High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The group is trying to raise the $40,000 needed to help the Class of 2016 to celebrate their graduation drug- and alcohol-free following commencement ceremonies in June. 
Continuing events 
Community theater — Somerset Valley Players presents “The Graduate,” directed by Matthew Muccigrossi, one last weekends to Sun., March 13. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for senior citizens and students. The mature content may not be suitable for all ages, so the show is recommended for those over 17.

VFW meetings — Monthly meetings of Hillsborough VFW Post 8371 are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the county nutrition center, 339 South Branch Road. The post’s mission is to honor and help other veterans. All veterans with foreign service are welcome. For information about activities, contact Ron Miller at 908-369-5195.
Coping with addiction — Parents of Addicted Children helps parents understand and cope with drug problems they are facing, and will face, with their children. Meets first and third Monday of the month, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Neshanic Reformed Church, 715 Amwell Road.
Alzheimer’s support group — The Alzheimer’s Association has a support group in Hillsborough. Family members and caregivers come together to share information and support in a safe, confidential atmosphere.
Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Brookdale Hillsborough, 600 Auten Road. Call 908-431-1300 if attending.
