Makers Day events planned at library

The Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, will offer a variety of activities 11 a.m.-3 p.m. March 19 to celebrate the second annual New Jersey Makers Day.

Presentations and hands-on activities for all ages will highlight the library’s “Idea Farm” makerspace. Programs will include a vinyl cutter/decal demo, 11 a.m.; “Wood Creations Lego Lab,” noon, registration required; “Fast Sketching for Beginners,” registration required; “Intro to Makey-Makey,” 2 p.m., registration required; and “Crochet and More,” 3 p.m. There also will be informal gardening lessons for children, food-creation sessions, 3D printer and electronic demonstrations and other crafts and giveaways throughout the day.
