Donations sought for library book sale

The Friends of the Monroe Township Library Book Sale is planned for April 30-May 5 at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza.

Donations for the annual event will be accepted during regular business hours through April 11 at the library. Items sought include clean, lightly used, odor-free children’s books, newer fiction, timely nonfiction, history and biography; audiobooks, DVDs and CDs in working condition; and business, health and computer books less than five years old. A maximum of two bags of donations per visit will be accepted. Videos, encyclopedia, condensed books and textbooks will not be accepted.

The sale schedule is as follows:

• April 30 — Early-Buying Preview Day, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., $1 fee for adults (scanners, cell phones and other electronic ISBN search devices not permitted);

• May 1 — 1-4 p.m.;

• May 2-4 — 10 a.m.-8 p.m.;

• May 5 — Fill-A-Bag for $1 event, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., (scanners, cell phones and other electronic ISBN search devices not permitted until after 11:30 a.m.).

Hardcover books will be sold for $3 each, two for $5; trade paperbacks, $2 each, three for $5; mass-market paperbacks, 50 cents. Special items in all categories will be priced as marked. Cash and checks will be accepted as payment.
