LAWRENCE — Police are looking for an armed robber who made off with an undisclosed amount of money from a convenience store on Quakerbridge Road Sunday night.
A man walked into the Quick Mart store in the 500 block of Quakerbridge Road shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday and demanded money, police Lt. Joseph Amodio said.
The owner did not believe the man or his demands, until the robber jumped over the counter and struck him in the head with a blunt object, Lt. Amodio said.
The robber — described as a white male, wearing gray sweatpants and a ski mask — fled with an undisclosed amount of money, Lt. Amodio said.
The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton for treatment and released. The incident is still under investigation.
