FREEHOLD – Center Players, Freehold’s resident theater company, will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its Center Playhouse with a fundraising gala at the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan, on April 8 from 7-11 p.m.

The evening will feature a buffet dinner, cocktails, music and live entertainment, according to a press release. “We are pleased to celebrate 15 years of producing top quality theater in our little gem of a playhouse and to honor and acknowledge the efforts of Nardie, Mark and Marlene who have greatly contributed to our continued success,” Center Players President Sheldon Fallon said. “We look forward to a fantastic evening surrounded by our many local patrons and supporters.”

Various sponsorship opportunities ranging from $250 to $2,500 are available. Tickets for the gala are priced at $75. For more information, visit www.centerplayers.org or call 732-462-9093.

Center Players was founded in 1996 and after performing at various locations around Freehold Borough, the group leased a storefront property at 35 South St. The space was renovated with interior design by New York City designer Nelson Kuperberg into an intimate 49-seat theater that opened in 2001, according to the press release.
