Altar Rosary Society to hold butter lamb sale 
March 19 and 20 — Sponsored by the Christ the Redeemer Altar Rosary Society sponsors bake sale and butter lamb sale on Saturday and Sunday beginning with the 4:30 p.m. Mass at Christ the King Church and the 6 p.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Church, both in Manville. Call 908-725-0072 for information.
Therapy group that uses horses holds fundraiser 
Sat., March 19 — Horses are helping trauma survivors in New Jersey find present moment, rebuild trust and establish personal coping skills — without having to “talk about it “ and without any riding or mounted work. Veterans, at-risk teens and young children suffering bereavement all find solace with a herd of horses in Hillsborough.
The Hillsborough-based nonprofit Spring Reins of Life will raise funds for the Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy group therapy sessions for moderate at Comedy & Dessert night from 7-10 p.m. at the Flemington Elks Lodge, Route 31. Featured stand-up comic is Mark Riccadonna will be joined by Sean Lynch, Teddy Daniels and Ritu Chandra. Cash bar, light fare snacks, desserts. Tickets are $35 with the option to add additional donation. 
Learn networking tips at job seekers program 
Thurs., March 24 — Elise Prezant, career counselor at Jewish Family Service, will lead a free program on “The Basics of Networking” for the Job Seekers Support Group from 10 a.m. to noon at the Family Success Center, 87 Park Ave., Flemington.
This group is open to the entire community. Funding is provided by a grant from the United Way of Hunterdon County. Registration is required; contact Ms. Prezant at 908-725-7799, ext.108, or eprezant@JewishFamilySvc.org. 
Garden club will hear how to grow, use lavender 
Thurs., March 24 — Marie Voorhees from Hidden Spring Lavender Farm in Skillman will talk to the Neshanic Garden Club’s monthly meeting about growing lavender and its therapeutic uses. The meeting begins at 9:45 a.m. at the Station House on Olive Street, Neshanic Station. In the spring tours of the lavender farm are offered at $10 per person. There is also a gift shop.

Rotary Club schedules its 8th annual egg hunt 
Sat., March 26 — Free 8th annual Rotary Club egg hunt at The Landing restaurant, Amwell Road. Hunting in three age groups begins at 10 a.m. sharp for ages 8 and younger. Bring your own baskets. All eggs filled with a treat. Bring camera for photos with bunny. Hot dogs and hot chocolate, compliments of the Landing, after the hunt. Call 732-522-6178. 
Church’s hunt features more than 5,000 eggs 
Sat., March 26 — A free Easter egg hunt with more than 5,000 eggs will be held from 9:45 a.m.-noon at Montgomery Evangelical Free Church, 246 Belle Mead-Griggstown Road, Belle Mead. Children ages 12 months to 9 years may hunt, as well as special needs children. Afterwards, there will be games, face painting, crafts, a cookie decorating station, and a chance to hear about the true meaning of Easter. For info, check the website at www.mefc.org. 
Project Graduation seeks advertisers for program 
Sat., April 2 — Hillsborough High School Project Graduation looking for advertisers and sponsors for its annual basket auction and fashion show, which will be held in the Hillsborough High School auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The group is trying to raise the $40,000 needed to help the Class of 2016 to celebrate their graduation drug- and alcohol-free following commencement ceremonies in June. 
Appraiser will judge if it’s ‘trash’ or ‘treasure’ 
Sat., April 2 — Alan G. Snyder, a certified antiques and estate appraiser, will evaluate antiques at the Manville Library 100 South St., 1:30-3:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring up to two items for to examine, provide facts and historical information, and verbally appraise. Noted career consultant to speak to job seekers 
Wed., April 6 — Career counselor Lloyd Feinstein of Career Marketing Consultants will talk from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jewish Family Services, 150-A West High St., Somerville, to job seekers who are unemployed, underemployed or seeking a career change.
His topic is “Crafting an Elevator Pitch.”

St. Mary’s Catholic Church holds a Slavic dinner 
Wed., April 13 — St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church holds its monthly dinner, 4 to 7 p.m., in the St. Mary Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd. $14 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $5 for children (8 and younger). All-you-can-eat pirohi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes.

Party launches episode of the ‘Creature Show’ 
Fri., April 15 — Party to launch Creature Show episode (full of timber rattlesnakes, corn snakes and northern pine snakes) on the second floor of the Duke Farms Orientation Center, 1112 Dukes Parkway West, Hillsborough. 7-9 p.m. Learn about threatened and endangered snakes, ecological threats facing the Pine Barrens, and biologist Emile DeVito of the N.J. Community theater — Somerset Valley Players will present the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical “Oklahoma” on weekends from April 8 to May 1.

VFW meetings: Monthly meetings of Hillsborough VFW Post 8371 are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the county nutrition center, 339 South Branch Road. Coping with addiction — Parents of Addicted Children helps parents understand and cope with drug problems they are facing, and will face, with their children. Meets first and third Monday of the month, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Neshanic Reformed Church, 715 Amwell Road.
Alzheimer’s support group — The Alzheimer’s Association has a support group in Hillsborough. Family members and caregivers come together to share information and support in a safe, confidential atmosphere.
Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at Brookdale Hillsborough, 600 Auten Road. Call 908-431-1300 if attending.
Mothers of Preschoolers — MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays at the Fellowship Bible Church building, 109 New Amwell Road. The group says it meets to “laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood.” Sponsored by Crossroads Community Church, it hears speakers, has a craft or project and lots of conversation and refreshment.
