Cheers and Jeers

Cheers to Watch What Happens Live
for hitting 1,000 episodes. Raise a glass to Andy Cohen (with Kristin Chenoweth, a gay shark and Chrissy Teigen), whose rowdy, boozy talk show has become one finely aged late-night option.

Cheers to Sarah Paulson
for being the guiltiest pleasure. The crown jewel of FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story has been a master class of quiet pathos as her prosecutor Marcia Clark is surrounded by tons of media misogyny and myriad judicial abominations.

Jeers to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow
for breaking up our favorite bromance. We don’t want to live in any world where time-traveling baddies Mick and Snart (Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller) are at odds. Unless they’re fighting over Sara (Caity Lotz).

Jeers to VH1
for rebooting America’s Next Top Model. First, the underfed, airbrushed body of the original is barely cold. And second, no Tyra Banks as host, no thanks. Besides, can there even be a “next” if the show never launched any top model in the first place?
