Earth Day contest open to North Brunswick students

The North Brunswick Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services, along with the North Brunswick Open Space Committee, are accepting submissions for the 2016 Earth Day contest.

Children in grades kindergarten to five can make a bookmark that reflects the change he or she will make to benefit the environment.

Children in grades 6, 7 and 8 may write a poem or slogan reflecting a positive difference toward environmental issues in the community.

High school students should submit one 5-7 minute commercial related to environmental issues that change the community in a positive way.

Include the student’s name, school, grade, phone number and email address on the back of the entry.

Submissions are due by April 14 to the Department of Parks & Recreation, 710 Hermann Road, North Brunswick.

All winners will be contacted and invited to the May 2 Township Council meeting.
