East Windsor Township and the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, in cooperation with the Americorps Watershed Ambassador Program, are sponsoring a stream cleanup from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, at Etra Lake Park.
The township is looking for volunteers to participate the event.
“The purpose of this cleanup is to remove litter from our local watershed streams, helping to keep our water sources clean,” said East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov. “This cleanup provides for an excellent opportunity to improve the look of this area and provide for a cleaner stream.”
Participants should wear boots, long sleeve shirts and bring work gloves if you have them, and will be provided with gloves and trash bags. T-shirts and refreshments will be provided. Adults must accompany minors.
Volunteers should contact Michael Pisauro at mpisauro@thewatershed.org, or 609-737-3735, ext. 18 to register. For additional information, visit the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association website www.thewatershed.org.
