The Hudson Shakespeare Company will present a free performance of “Almost Maine” on April 14 at 7 p.m. at the Woodbridge Public Library, 1 George Frederick Plaza.
“Almost Maine” is a romantic comedy comprised of nine short scenes;it runs about an hour and 30 minutes. It was first developed in 2002 at the Cape Cod Theater Project, and made its off-Broadway premiere in 2006.
The Hudson Shakespeare Company was founded in 1992. The company is known for pushing nontraditional casting in regard to gender and ethnicity in Shakespearean roles and for bringing contemporary productions to a number of unconventional venues throughout New Jersey.
