This year, approximately 2000 New Jersey students submitted letters for the Library of Congress’s Letters About Literature contest. Amrita Sutradhar, a sixth-grader at Edgar Middle School in Metuchen, was named the first-place winner in the state. Sixth-graders Alan Wu and Molly Malague received Distinguished Honors in the fourth- through sixth-grade division. All three students will be honored at a reception at Rutgers University in May.
