Associated Auxiliaries mark 50 years

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – The CentraState Associated Auxiliaries is celebrating 50 years of service to CentraState Medical Center.

According to a press release, during that time the auxiliaries have raised more than $3 million for CentraState, making many building, educational and service enhancement projects possible.

In addition, the auxiliaries have offered 48 scholarships since 1999 to deserving high school students with proven volunteerism in their communities who are entering the medical field.

According to the press release, representatives of the CentraState Associated Auxiliaries surprised CentraState Medical Center executives and the CentraState Healthcare Foundation in March when they presented them with a check for $79,113.51.

Those funds will support the following departments at the hospital: the Star and Barry Tobias Women’s Health Center, the Gloria Saker Women’s Heart Center, inpatient oncology, student programs at the Star and Barry Tobias Health Awareness Center and the Statesir Cancer Center, according to the press release.
