Classical guitarist to perform April 22 at Metuchen church

Classical guitarist Loren Fortna will present a music recital at The Reformed Church of Metuchen, 150 Lake Ave., Metuchen on April 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The program, titled “Mertz in Mein Herz (Mertz in My Heart),” will explore the work and compositions of Johann Kaspar Mertz.

Johann Kaspar Mertz (1806-1856), classical guitarist and composer, was active in Vienna in the 19th century.
