It’s season premiere night Sunday, April 24 on HBO. At 9 p.m., the ten-episode sixth season of Game of Thrones will premiere. Based on the popular book series A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin, this Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom. The impressive ensemble cast is anchored by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage. At 10 p.m., the Emmy-winning and Golden Globe-nominated series Silicon Valley, returns for its ten-episode third season, taking a comic look at the modern-day epicenter of the high-tech gold rush, with a fun cast of ten having issues with handling success. At 10:30 p.m., the Emmy-nominated series VEEP returns with its ten-episode fifth season, following former Vice President Selina Meyer (played by Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who became President after her predecessor stepped down.
Launching a new night for AMC originals is the six-part miniseries event The Night Manager, premiering on Tuesday, April 19 at 10 p.m. A contemporary interpretation of John le Carre’s espionage drama, the series follows former British soldier Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston), who is recruited by an intelligence operative to infiltrate the inner circle of an international businessman with an alliance between the intelligence community and the secret arms trade.
LMN will premiere its original movie House of Darkness on Sunday, April 17 at 8 p.m. Inspired by true events, this supernatural thriller recounts the mysterious case of a San Francisco family who claimed that a dark force was responsible for the tragic events that unfolded.
Syfy will premiere season two of 12 Monkeys on Monday, April 18 at 9 p.m, following the journey of Cole (Aaron Stanford), a time traveler sent back in time from a dark, hellish future to prevent it from ever happening.
