Metuchen Public Library offering computer classes on Saturdays

Metuchen Public Library is offering basic computer classes to people who needs computer and other assistance. Classes will be held on Saturdays from 2-3:30 p.m.

April 23 will be Words 2010 Basics; this course will cover creating, editing, saving and printing documents, basic document formatting, editing and proofreading, and template use.

May 7 will be Excel 2010 Basics; this course will cover basic spreadsheet functionality, learn how to create, edit, and format a basic spreadsheet, including basic equation and sorting.

Each session is limited to eight people. Registration is required. Registration begins two weeks prior to each session. Basic computer knowledge, mouse and keyboard skills are required. You may bring your own laptop, iPad, or other tablets. The library provides laptops for each session. Bringing a flash drive is suggested. Classes are open primarily to Metuchen residents. Non-Metuchen residents will be placed on the waiting list, unless space is available.
