Suspect allegedly runs off after breaking into Davinci Drive home

SOUTH BRUNSWICK – Police are seeking information regarding a burglary to a home on the evening of April 6.

The incident took place around 8:45 p.m. on Davinci Drive off Stouts Lane near South Brunswick High School, according to a statement prepared by the South Brunswick Police Department.

A woman was upstairs in her home when she told police she heard a breaking noise coming from the first floor of her residence, according to reports. She reportedly went downstairs and observed a small hole in her kitchen sliding glass door. Soon thereafter a suspect reportedly pushed through the broken glass door and entered the kitchen. The woman ran out of the house and the suspect purportedly also ran out of the house once he realized someone was home, according to officials.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6 feet 2 inches, stocky build with a mustache or slight beard. He was wearing a black or brown jacket. The suspect alllegedly ran from the home and got into a vehicle that was parked on a darkened cul de sac at the end of Palladio Boulevard; they vehicle may have been a dark grey Honda or Toyota.
