The annual Stony Brook PTO March Madness basketball tournament tournament drew 167 students as players, announcers and scorekeepers. Parents, teachers and former students comprised the all-volunteer staff.
The tournament is the school’s single largest student participation event and provides the greatest fundraising opportunity for the graduating 5th grade class through the sales of concessions.
The three-week tournament drew 29 teams from 1st to 5th grades, culminating in the boys’ and girls’ championship games in front of the entire student body.
