Sickles Market, One Harrison Avenue, Little Silver, will open a second location in Red Bank in early 2018.
The newest addition to Sickles Market will occupy a 7,000-square-foot, street-level space in the totally renovated Anderson building – which has been vacant for more than 30 years – in the heart of the Antique and Arts District on the city’s west side. Renovations to the Anderson Moving and Storage Building are scheduled to begin in 2016.
The new market will continue Sickles’ century-old commitment to quality and service, and include a deli with prepared foods, bakery, butcher, seafood, coffee and more. The new site will add approximately 55 local jobs to its existing staff of 165.
The Anderson building, a 40,000 square-foot 1920’s former warehouse located across from the Red Bank Train Station, is being developed by Metrovation, a privately owned specialty redevelopment company with locations in California and New Jersey. Metrovation also owns and manages several properties in Red Bank and Shrewsbury including The Grove, an upscale lifestyle center in Shrewsbury, and its latest project – the West Side Lofts, a state-of-the-art, mixed-use development with 91 residences, nine townhomes and approximately 25,000 square feet of retail located next to the Two River Theater.
