Student to experience Naval Academy life at summer seminar

TINTON FALLS — Ranney School’s Shane Keenan, Class of 2017, will attend the 2016 Naval Academy Summer Seminar (NASS). The fast-paced, weeklong seminar provides rising high school seniors an opportunity to experience Naval Academy life in Annapolis, Maryland, including academics, physical training, athletics and leadership.

Keenan will attend workshops on computers and naval weapons systems, electrical and biometrics engineering, ship behavior in waves, ocean engineering, cyber operations, mechanical engineering, chemistry, foreign languages, character development, martial arts, seamanship and navigation, nuclear engineering and more.

Keenan plays on Ranney’s varsity soccer team and was named to the Shore Conference B Central All-Division team last fall. For more information, visit www.ranneyschool.org.
