“We have a big house just off of Route 79 in Freehold and we had been looking to downsize for about a year now,” Lorraine explained. ”We didn’t want to leave the area, because we have roots here and our daughter lives nearby with our three grandchildren. They are my life, as it is with every grandparent, so we wanted to be close to them. A good friend of ours knew we were looking to downsize. One day, she said to me, ‘You know, K. Hovnanian is putting up a new 55+ development in Howell, just off of Route 9.’ She got a number for me, so I called and talked to Cathy Garma, one of the sales associates. We went to their model opening in the fall and we very impressed.”

Among other features, the Monterey II includes a designer kitchen with a generously sized pantry, a spacious owner’s suite with large closets and lots of windows, and beautiful fireplace options. ”We really liked the layout of this home,” Lorraine shared. ”We didn’t want be going up and down anymore, so the single-level floorplan was ideal. And we love the site; we picked out a nice, wooded area.”

They weren’t like sales reps, they became more like friends and family to us. This is such an important process, because it’s going to be your home, where you live, and they really understand that. Thanks to them, and being in this community, we feel like the next chapter in our life is going to be wonderful.”
